A Petition for the CITY OF WHEATON to reject any proposed plan for construction of a Costco store or any other “big box” type store at the site of the former Hubble Middle School.
The main objective of the Wheaton Citizens for a Beautiful Gateway (WCBG) is to preserve and enhance the Central Park area for the enjoyment and benefit of Wheaton residents for generations to come. The WCBG strives for reasonable, sensible action plans to redevelop the main gateway to downtown Wheaton leaving a legacy of which we can all be proud.
We, the undersigned residents of the CITY OF WHEATON, DuPage County, Illinois hereby petition the Mayor of the CITY OF WHEATON, all City Council Members and all other Public Officials of the CITY OF WHEATON to reject any proposed plan for construction of a Costco store or any other “big box” type store at the site of the former Hubble Middle School located north of Roosevelt Road between Main Street and Naperville Road.
