NO ON SYNTHETIC TURF at Highlands and Heather

VOTE NO. Synthetic turf is extremely expensive to install and is warranteed for only 8 years. At a time of unprecedented statewide financial crisis, the proponents of installing synthetic turf at Highlands and Heather propose to:

(1) PUT SAN CARLOS DEEP IN DEBT;

(2) REQUIRE SAN CARLOS TO PAY NEARLY $400,000 IN INTEREST ALONE; AND

(3) SPEND ALL OF MEASURE G MONEY ON JUST ONE PROJECT, when dozens of other city projects such as a city swimming pool or upgrades to other parks go unfunded.

And who benefits at this extraordinary expense? A select group athletes- that's it. In fact, San Carlos Little League is also against this proposal as well as scores of citizens from all over San Carlos. VOTE NO.
