No to New Taxes: Turks and Caicos Islands

As many of you now know, the Government is considering a number of new taxations including a payroll tax to be borne by the people of these Turks and Caicos Islands against our expressed wishes. Any new taxation must not happen and have to be stopped now, the power is in the People. If we all sit by and allow these new tax measures to be implemented, it would change our lives for the worst.

You are strongly urged to oppose these new legislative proposals because of the impact it will have on small business job creators and the working class. We should not encourage and allow the Government and legislature in enacting policies that discourage business competitiveness and hinder growth opportunities.

In an effort to stop this Government's misguided policies from further taxing us we must stand in solidarity and sign this petition voicing our disapproval of the tax measures that they will force upon us. We the undersigned citizens, registered voters and people of the Turks and Caicos Islands hereby petition the Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands not to introduce any new taxation.
