The residents of Cherry Tree Drive resist the possibility of their Sheltered Scheme being demolished to make way for more extra care homes. This will spoil an attractive site with gardens and 2 storey flats which are comfortable and spacious to make way for high rise, small compact flats, with no view or gardens.
This has caused a great deal of stress which has taken away everyone's piece of mind and will undoubtedly cause medical as well as physical problems to those extremely elderly residents.
We, the undersign disagree most vehemently with redevelopment of Cherry Tree Drive.
We consider this an unnecessary infringement of our rights, as we were lead to believe that our community was safe from any drastic changes other than improvements to the flats.
