Residents along the highway of SR395 between N Yelm St and N Ely St experience noise levels from SR395 traffic that exceeds State and Federal Guidelines. Also, due to high traffic, there is a large amount of vehicle exhaust subjected to the strip of houses/apartments/etc. between N Yelm St and N Ely St. With this petition, we hope to gain momentum for funding the abatement wall and moving up on the Department of Transportation's Project List. This wall will reduce noise and exhaust coming from SR395 traffic, as well as protect these residents along SR395 from off-road accidents or collisions that may occur.
We, the undersigned, call for Washington State Officials to provide funding and increased urgency in the construction of an abatement wall along SR395 between N Yelm St and N Ely St.
