On Dec. 4, 2016, the DAPL easement that impacted Standing Rock was denied due to the efforts of the people who stood and brought awareness while opposing further construction.
During the months of peaceful, prayerful and unarmed protest, many water protectors were arrested.
We, the people of the United States, ask the Governor of North Dakota, Jack Dalrymple, to pardon and drop the charges brought on by the State of North Dakota and Morton County against the water protectors who suffered arrest while protecting the water, land and heritage of the people of Standing Rock from destruction and endangerment by opposing further construction of the DAPL near Tribal lands.
