Marquette Township announced that they will be paving and installing a drainage system on Moran Street, but only the portion from Ontario Street to Commerce Drive.
Flooding occurs frequently, however on the portion on the other side of Ontario Street, containing eight homes.
We, the undersigned, call on the Marquette Township Board to install a drainage system and pave all of Moran Street. If the street is to be fixed, then now is the time to repair the entire road for all the residents living on Moran Street.
The concern is that this will be the trend for the entire township where only portions of roads will be improved leaving some residents paying the same in taxes, but their dollars would be used to subsidize other improvements while their roads and yards continue flood or have other problems.
