Every year the debate over daylight saving in Queensland rears its ugly head, mainly by migrants from the southern states.
The arguments are mostly based around the idea that we would get more daylight to enjoy after we arrive home from work.
This is certainly the case in Victoria or most of NSW, however during the summer months in Queensland the sun still shines until almost 8pm even without the marvel that is daylight saving.
This is a petition for those who do not want to see daylight saving reintroduced to Queensland.
We did away with it in 1992 for a very good reason and that reason is still valid.
We do not need daylight saving.
