The 8 acre parcel of land directly across from the Kingstree neighborhood entrance has had a re-zoning petition filed to rezone the parcel of land from RS9 to RM12-S.

The developer/petitioner is Mr. William Scantland, owner of BTR Communities Group, LLC. out of Lewisville, NC. The site plan which is all wooded now would include three, three story apartment homes including a club house, gym, etc and a water retention pond facing Peters Creek Parkway. The overall development includes 80 apartment homes with some two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.

The entrance to the development would be directly across from Kingstree's entrance along Sides Road and Kingstree Ridge Drive.

We, the undersigned, demand that the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Planning Board and the Winston Salem City Council deny the request for rezoning case number W-3294 BTR Communities Group, LLC. on Sides Road.
