HB 1774 gives unfair and inhumane protection the Texas Insurance companies to stall and not pay insurance claims in Texas. Hurricane Harvey has left parts of Texas in despair, and this law comes at a time that will leave possibly millions of people without the protection they need in this time of tragedy. This law must be repealed at once. We must ask the Governor of Texas to call a special legislative session to end this new law before it takes effect. Please sign and help bring the needed relief to the people hit hard by Harvey.
We, the undersigned, call upon the Governor of the Great State of Texas to immediately call a special legislative session to take up proceedings to immediately repeal HB 1774, which restricts the rights of the people of the Great State of Texas to fairly deal with insurers during the aftermath of the unprecedented disaster, Hurricane Harvey.
