We the undersigned call on the Mayor of London to call in the planning application regarding the City Pride, Westferry Road E 14 (PA/1203248) for the following reasons.
The application was agreed by casting vote, on an unchanged proposal after it had been previously rejected by a majoirty vote at the previous meeting.
The building will be just seven metres shorter than Canary Wharf Tower, thereby going against the stepping proposal which has always been accepted inlocal developments topreserve the vision, line and balance of Canary Wharf.
The building will dominate the immediate area and there will be far less open space than that recommended for similar sites.
This residential development comes with no provision for schools or health facilities in an area where there is an acute shortage of both.
The proposal is well above the accepted density under the London Plan.
