The Marshall County School Board has chosen to offer the Superintendent of Education position to someone other than the current superintendent, Dr. Lela Hale. The unersigned citizens of the county believe Dr. Hale to be the best candidate for the position. In the short time she has served as superintendent since her election by the people great progress has been made in our schools. We believe if allowed to complete her vision the benefit to the students of Marshall County will be great. We understand that during the interviews conducted by the search committee, Dr. Hale represented herself well.
We, the undersigned citizens and concerned employees of Marshall County School District, respectfully request that the Marshall County Board of Education reconsider their decision to offer the position of Superintendent of Education of the Marshall County Schools to someone other than Dr. Lela Hale. We strongly feel that since her election to the position by the citizens of this county, she has and continues to put the best interest of all the children as a deciding factor in any decision made. Included you will find a partial list of her many accomplishments in the short time she's been allowed to serve. We believe if given the opportunity to fulfill her vision, the entire district will be to elevated to a level not seen in many years.
