North Wales Police have to make savings in the region of £20m.
The people of Chirk and the area are concerned that North Wales Police ae looking to close Chirk Police station as part of their cost cutting excercise.
Chirk Police Station has to serve a large geographical area.
We do not believe that the needs of the people of Chirk and the area would be best served by closing the Police Station.
We believe that having a visible Police station in Chirk gives the people of the area greater security and allows Police officers to conduct their work better in the community.
