Units 2 & 3 Old Coal Yard Farm lies to the west of Northleach's town. The landlord's have currently applied to the council to extend the site to 3500 sq ft and in conjunction are applying for a change of use from B1 to A1 status. Planning application no: 17/01779/FUL. The purpose behind both applications is to lease the site to a major retailer currently believed to be the Co-op and/or Tesco. The presence of a major retailer occupying this site within Northleach is a severe threat to the current small businesses occupying the market square and future ones opening too. The Northleach community have until June 8th to have our say on the future development and fabric of the our town.
We, the undersigned, raise an objection to the granting of the planning application number: 17/01779/FUL in the knowledge that it accompanies a request for a change of use from B1 to A1. And to be occupied by a major retailer which threatens the existence of Northleach local small businesses.
