SAVE PITT PARK
Our local 24/7 off leash dog park at Wentworth Falls is under threat.
Blue Mountains City Councillors will soon be voting on a proposal to:
* Restrict the off leash hours at Pitt Park.
* Relocate the off leash dog park to Murray Park.
PLEASE VOTE TO SAVE PITT PARK.
THERE SHOULD BE NO RESTRICTIONS ON OFF LEASH HOURS
A SHARED SPACE FOR ALL: We share the park with local sporting groups. Dog owners are mindful not to interrupt these events. Dog owners are mindful of cleaning up after their dogs. The recent introduction of the doggy bag dispenser has been very welcome. It is wonderful to see this shared open space being used and loved by so many people.
WORKERS: We are full time workers who can only exercise in the evening with our dog. Restricting off leash hours at Pitt Park will mean we can not visit at all.
ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL: Elderly persons and persons with a disability regularly visit Pitt Park with their dogs.
MURRAY PARK IS NOT A SUITABLE ALTERNATIVE.
Murray Park is a dangerous alternative, situated close to busy Falls Road and not accessible for the elderly or persons with a disability.
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION TO SAVE PITT PARK.
PITT PARK IS FOR ALL.
We, the undersigned, call on Blue Mountains City Councillors to vote to:
* Keep Pitt Park as a 24/7 off leash dog area;
* Reject Murray Park as a suitable alternative.
A SHARED SPACE FOR ALL: Pitt Park is a shared space for all.
WORKERS: We are full time workers who can only exercise in the evening with our dog. Keeping Pitt Park 24/7 means we can continue exercising at the park after work with our dog.
ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL: Elderly persons and persons with a disability regularly visit Pitt Park with their dogs. Pitt Park is the ONLY off leash area in the Mountains that is SAFE and ACCESSIBLE.
