**EDITED**
Unfortunately the case did not settle today (11/2) and we will be moving forward with a hearing with the Superior Court of Georgia on November 10th. We have proved our 50% food sales with 2 CPA reviews and plead our case through the court-appointed mediator, but still the Board of Commissioners was not willing to settle, or discuss conditions for continuing to operate. We have done NOTHING wrong. No underage drinking, no over-service, no unruly patrons. We've supported many local businesses and charities, and we provide a respectable, responsible social establishment in our community. This business is all we have. And we need your support to continue to operate.
Original post: Columbia County Commissioners changed the future of the Evans Town Center by revoking Stay.Social’s alcohol license by a vote of 4-1.
Unfortunately, because of the vagueness of the ordinance, Stay or anyone who is possession of an alcohol license could have said license revoked based on incomplete and unaudited numbers.
We hope that the commission was not influenced by political matters insignificant to Stay’s business of food and drink. Stay has brought in over 1.6 million in sales to the county over the duration of our time in business, and supported many charitable causes and local businesses. Our county deserves an establishment that is welcoming and beneficial to everyone in the community.
We respectfully request that the Superior Court of Georgia overrule Columbia County Board of Commissioners' decision and reinstate Stay. Social's alcohol license, without prejudice or discrimination. We want fair & equitable application of the law for all licensed establishments.
