Xavier de Marchi owns and operates Cafe de Paris in Indian Rocks Beach Florida. He and his wife Valerie have created an international gathering place where a diverse clientele gather for vibrant conversation and delectable fresh pastries, coffee and quiches.
Recently the American Embassy in Paris denied their application for renewal of their E-2 Visa. We want to add more supporting documentation to make clear how vital they are to our community.
Closing the bakery would negatively impact thousands of Florida residents, national and international visitors and the entire local business community.
We, the undersigned, call on the American Embassy in Paris, E Visa Unit to re-examine the supporting evidence for Xavier de Marchi's application for renewal of E-2 Treaty Investor Visa, and reverse the decision of November 30, 2009.
