Yale University's Peabody Museum is planning the removal of two large trees to make room for a giant granite foundation supporting a dinosaur statue. The healthy trees in the path of this proposed structure have been allowed to grow peacefully and without interruption for decades.

We are alarmed by the museum's decision to disrupt the natural harmony and beauty of the area by removing these trees rather than finding a suitable location that will not require compromising the area's natural heritage.

Join us in asking the Peabody Museum to devise a plan where destroying these trees is not included.

The signatories on this electronic petition wish to raise our strong objections to the removal of the trees at the proposed location of the Peabody Museum's new dinosaur statue. We ask that the staff instead devise a plan that will allow situating the statue without destroying the area's natural heritage.
