Hernando Nimby is a community fighting to STOP the expansion of Springhill Narconon on Cessna Drive. Springhill Narconon is a 'drug treatment facility'. What they haven't told you is they are NOT medically treating these clients. The 'treatment' is based on the beliefs of Scientology.
These clients spend thousands of dollars to drink vitamins, sit in saunas to sweat out the toxins for up to 5 hours and read books about Scientology written by the founder L.Ron Hubbard. This expansion would allow its owner, Toucan Partners LLC, to build three buildings to the site where two buildings already exist. This is a zoned residential area. An expansion of that size will constitute a major business.
We, the citizens of Hernando County, petition the Hernando County Commissioners to reject the expansion of the Suncoast Rehabilitation Center located at 8213 Cessna Drive in Spring Hill. This location is zoned residential, an expansion of this size will constitute a major business.
