Roland Avenue, a cut through from Ruxton Road to Joppa Road is a highly traveled road in a small, quiet neighborhood. Several children live on this road and it is dangerous even standing at the bus stop in the morning.
We had an assessment several years ago with no results. We understand that a police officer collected speed on the nearby ELLENHAM road for 1 hour. We don't believe this is enough to collect data, especially in the middle of Roland Ave when speed is picked up after turning from Ellenham.
We ask for 2 speed humps on Roland Ave. If anything, just to slow the vehicles that use the road as a cut through.
We, the undersigned, owners of property on Roland Avenue in Baltimore County, request the County to install two speed humps for the safety of our children. One between Ellenham and Maple Ave on Roland Ave and one prior to the stream (bridge) on Roland Ave.
