The purpose of this petition is to stop the ongoing bullying that is taking place in the schools, specifically in the Primary School regions.As a parent of 2 scholars I cannot continue to let this happen where kids are now fearing for their lives going to school as they are being threatened daily by the bullies. My plea is to stop bullying on all platforms and actively drive the commitment and support from not only the parents but also most importantly the schools where the bullying is occurring. We need to stand together and make the change ensuring we uphold not only our own beliefs, values and morals but ensuring we adhere and instill these into the children to be the difference we want to see. Too many children are taking their own lives due to being a victim of bullies as some children are not even confiding in an adult or parent as they are being threatened that if anything gets said they will be "beaten up" and worse "killed". Lets all stand together and fight for a better life for our generations and those to come as it would seem bullying is running rife and if left untreated will eventually be an uncontrollable disease that spreads like wild fire!!! As a parent this is my plea and I am encouraging all to come forward and have their say so we can be instrumental in the change!!
We the undersigned call on the South African Department of Education to put a stop to bullying in schools. Bullying on all platforms whether verbally, physically or socially this needs to stop. We cannot allow another child to take their life due to being a victim of bullying!!! As a parent this is my plea and I am encouraging all to come forward and have their say so we can be instrumental in the change!!
