Stop the Closure of Chipperfield Stay and Play

Today (2nd April 2019), Hertfordshire Family Centre Service announced that they plan to shut the Chipperfield Stay and Play session with immediate effect. The decision to close is apparently due to budget cuts and a change in the contract from Hertfordshire County Council.

Chipperfield has hosted a Stay and Play for babies and preschoolers in the village hall for many years. It is a well loved group with excellent attendance which is an integral part of our village. Hundreds of children have benefited from the group over the years, which provides a safe and nurturing space to play and the opportunity for children to socialise. Living in a small village can be lonely and isolating, especially for first time parents. This is the only session in Chipperfield that provides the opportunity for parents to meet other families in the local area.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Let's show that the residents of Chipperfield value the huge part this group plays in helping us to raise our children.
