74+ acres of wooded land called Black Ash Creek is for sale as a future site for development. It is important to save this beautiful ecosystem and have it designated protected parkland.
We, the undersigned, want to save the 74 + acres of wooded area called Black Ash Creek at Campbell Street and High. We feel too much of the beautiful green space - wooded floodplains, wetlands and meadows of our home town or vacation spot, Collingwood Ontario, has been subjected to development.
Not only is Black Ash Creek a beautiful escaped (winter, spring, summer or fall) from the ever increasing busy lifestyle on the streets of Collingwood but it is a very important ecosystem. Many species of birds and amphibians, not to forget the many types of mammals, call it home.
We ask that it be designated protected parkland that our children and future will enjoy. Thank you.
