Residents of Howat Road, Somers Road, Hill Road, Old Winnings Road and Charity Road in the village of Keresley End, CV7, will attest to the following: -
Young residents of the village are causing both a nuisance and a road safety concern by driving motor cycles in an unsafe and erratic way along the above streets.
In majority of these incidents, the young person will be by far exceeding the legal speed limit for said roads. This is also potentially creating a dangerous situation for other road users and pedestrians.
We, the undersigned, call on both Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council and Coventry City Council to install road traffic calming measures in the main thoroughfare roads of Keresley End, Coventry.
Specifically, effort should be concentrated on Howat Road, Charity Road and Somers Road.
This is to prevent young people driving motor vehicles in a dangerous manner, causing potential danger to both road users and pedestrians in the above area.
