Stop the Pipe to the Highway from Cape Charles

The people of the Northampton County want to see development that creates jobs and economic activity in Cheriton, Cape Charles, Eastville, Nassawadox, Exmore and other local communities.
The Eastern Shore of Virginia Public Service Authority (PSA) should serve the public that lives in the communities affected by its services.
Development on highways is not the answer. Strip development kills towns.
We, the undersigned, businesses owners and residents of Cape Charles, Cheriton and greater Northampton County say “no” to development outside of towns at taxpayer expense.
We do not want a sewer pipe that uses the Cape Charles wastewater treatment plant for highway development. The Cape Charles wastewater plant should be used for town expansion, not strip development outside of town.
Affordable wastewater treatment should be the goal for communities. It should not be the means of creating commercial activity on highways outside of towns.
