Since the widening of Route 80 near Denville has been completed, traffic noise has increased enormously. Although it varies from day to day, and time to time, at its worst, it disturbs the peacefulness of our community. Trucks and motorcycles can be heard at all hours of the day and night. This could lead to a decrease in property values. We request that our political leaders investigate the cause of this noise increase, (perhaps incorrect or inadequate installation of sound barriers), and correct it.
