With many of the youth, in the Table View area, taking part in Alternative Sports (BMX, Skateboarding, etc), we still don't have an area set aside for us to practice our sports.
Even with the constant expansion of the Table View area, the youth are still being overlooked. With nothing to do, they are getting into drinking and drugs or getting knocked over in shopping center car parks. The land is there to be used for these sports, we just need to get the ball rolling and stand together for the youth.
Everyone knows someone, directly or indirectly, who skates or rides. We need a BMX/Skatepark to keep the youth entertained, safe and off the streets.
We, the youth of the Table View area, call on Blaauwberg Municipality to invest in the youth and provide the needed recreational area for them.
