BetterWalkover is a youth-led network of volunteers that is aimed at eliminating or reducing risks faced by road users through; • sensitizing people on the need to use pedestrian bridges • Informing the government about strategic points where road infrastructures are needed and when the available ones need to be maintained. • Sharing road etiquette tips with all road users
BWO presently has a growing membership strength of 50 young people (male and female) spread across 4 communities in Eti-Osa LGA, Lagos. The prospects of increasing its membership are projected at 10,000 active members within the next 2 years due to the inclusivity, spread and acceptability of the BWO model.
"We BWO, undersigned, call on the Local Government to eliminate the risks faced by road users are significantly reduced or eliminated and our MISSION is to raise at least 10 road-use ambassadors in each of the 774 LGAs in Nigeria who will become a VOICE.
Our core APPROACH is to develop and promote fitness activities in strategic neighbourhoods in Nigeria which will serve as the driver for establishing networks of roads ambassadors; within communities in each of the LGAs in Nigeria

Our structure will have a National Walking Group which would be made up of elected National Officials and Volunteer mentors who are not directly linked to the day to day operations of BWO but provide technical advice and guidance. This structure will also be replicated at State levels, LGA levels and Community Levels.
