Many lives have been lost in the same intersection due to the danger that the absence of a proper traffic light poses.
We the undersigned concerned citizens of the New Territory, Sugar Land, Katy and Greater Southwest Houston area, as well as concerned non residing people and visitors of the local area, petition to have a traffic light installed at the intersection of Grand Parkway (99) and West Airport in north Fort Bend County near Sugar Land, Texas.
The notoriety of this intersection needs to end. The most recent accident at this intersection was on Saturday June 22 , 2013, and this was one of many that have occurred prior to this tragic accident. Police officers and commuters alike have agreed that there have been a number of casualties that were victims of this dangerous intersection. This must end. The clear and present danger represented by this intersection has been noted by all in the community.
To redress this problem we petition to have a traffic light installed at this location.
