According to the founding documents of the United States of America, our government derives its powers "from the consent of the governed." The citizens are the masters; government is the servant.
Yet most Americans now feel their government no longer represents them.
We want to reclaim the authority to rule ourselves as delineated in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States of America.
WE THE PEOPLE object to the haughty spirit and uncontrolled governance exhibited by our government of these United States — Legislative, Executive and Judicial branches.
WE THE PEOPLE are over-burdened with taxes and laws that no free people should be expected to endure. We demand that our servants in office listen to us. We the undersigned hereby request that you:
*STOP spending until the United States of America has a balanced budget.
*STOP raising taxes.
*STOP using our money to bail out companies and financial institutions that should have gone bankrupt.
*STOP nationalizing private companies.
*STOP writing laws that are thousands of pages long and unintelligible to all except lawyers.
*STOP passing legislation that the majority of Americans don’t want.
*STOP counting illegal aliens in the Census, and thereby skewing distribution of our representatives based on populations that aren’t citizens.
*SECURE our borders.
*AUDIT the Federal Reserve.
*REPEAL LAWS that the majority of Americans were against when voted in — the recent HealthCare law, for example.
*PUT yourselves under the same laws you expect us to obey.
*READ the Constitution of the United States.
*QUOTE the part of the Constitution that gives you authority for each law you pass.
*DISCONTINUE foreign aid and foreign wars.
*REQUIRE the Supreme Court to interpret law, not legislate, and the President to execute law, not legislate.
*ABOLISH the Department of Homeland Security — and stop calling our Nation “the homeland.”
Give us back our liberty and our self-respect.
