Mayo County Council has no adaqaute means of advertising dogs found by wardens and does not give any dogs handed into the pound a fair chance at life by being adopted.
If owners are unable to call during their very short opening hours there is no way owners can find out if their dog is in the pound. It is essential that Mayo County Council - get with the times and facilitate the needs of it's residents and the welfare of the animals it has in the pound. In this day and age it is unacceptable.
We, the undersigned, call on Mayo County Council to advertise all Lost and Found pets.
We want a dedicated website where all found pets by the county council warden service are advertised including a photograph.
We want all lost dogs submitted to be posted on the website. We want all animals to be given the opportunity to be reunited and returned to their owners asap.
