Dog fouling in public places is not only a health risk it is unsightly and obnoxious and is frequently trodden into homes, shops, hospitals and other semi-public places.
The cost of cleaning up dog mess, advertising to encourage dog owners to clean up after their pets, and the provision and emptying of dog poo bins is astronomical and unwarranted during the current economic crisis. Dog nappies are commercially available.
This petition calls upon the UK Government to make it a legal requirement that all dog owners ensure their dog wears a canine nappy in public places.
