Revd Julyan Drew is a Methodist Minister living in Newlyn, Cornwall. Over the years he has earned widespread respect and deep affection in his community which includes Mousehole, St Just and Penzance. This is due to his tireless loving service to all he meets and his involvement with RNLI, the Fire Service, youth organisations and many other local causes. Due to a health issue he requested to work part time. This has not been granted and so effectively his job is lost. He has offered to continue as a volunteer and so far this has been ignored.
We the undersigned call upon the Circuit Meeting of the West Penwith Methodist Church to reconsider their decision regarding staffing for 2017 onwards and
EITHER
1. Invite Julyan Drew to continue as minister in 2 chapels part time along with his community work
OR
2. Accept Julyan Drew in the above capacity but on a voluntary basis should finance be an issue.
