Do you feel you have enough balanced information regarding the proposal to irreversibly change Worthing High School to an Academy? Do you know what the differences are between the current situation and an Academy? Do you feel informed on the pros and cons of the issue?
Have you seen the decision making criteria the Governing Body will be using to make this decision? Have you seen the financial breakdown they are using to consider this change? If the answer to any of these questions is no then please sign this petition. We are asking Worthing High School to allow parents and interested parties access to the information they are basing their decision on and to have some transparency around this issue.
It is a very complicated issue with far reaching consequences and parents need to feel as fully informed and knowledgeable about the process as possible.
We, the undersigned, are concerned about the lack of impartial and detailed information provided to parents about the proposal to convert Worthing High School to an Academy.
We therefore request that the consultation period be extended so that both sides of the argument can be heard.
We request open access to the research which had informed the Governors' proposal.
