Marriage is an outdated practice that, though has been usefull in the growth of our nation, is steeped in religion.
I fully believe in the separation of church and state and therefore believe that all marriage and civil partnership laws be combined into one Civil Partnership law, that makes no mention of marriage.
This would not ban any religious ceremonies taking place, but merely make them seperate from a legal partnership.
We, the undersigned, believe in the separation of the church and state and call the British government to take action to allow all people to obtain a secular civil partnership, equal in law to the current marriage partnership but without the religious context.
