I have lived in almost total seclusion for the past three and a half years due to extreme pain in my right leg.
I am practically unable to walk under my own volition, and there is nothing to take away the pain.
And all that can be offered is a little knee brace that does nothing to alleviate the pain, or improve mobility.
Because of this, my other muscles are atrophying, and I'm spiraling into deep depression.
Amputation is considered a 'last option' and will only be done if you have severe frostbite, gangrene, or muscle death.
I'm wanting to add severe, chronic pain to the list of reasonable excuses to make amputation available to improve living conditions for those of us who are living in misery.
For most, surgery is not an option.
