We've heard it a hundred times - obesity is a world epidemic, we're all getting larger, yada yada yada...
And with the increase in 'average' dress size, clothes are getting bigger and there are more stores selling clothes in 'bigger' sizes. A size 12 now is bigger than a size 12 a few years back - just to make people feel good.
Is this a bad thing? YES IT IS! I'm not anorexic or emaciated, I'm naturally petite. And small people like you and me - I'm talking size 6, 8 and 10 - are finding it harder to find clothes to fit.
In my shopping centre, only two high street shops stock size 6 clothes - Next and Bay Trading. In other stores (like Topshop and New Look), it's hard to find anything under a size 12.
So come on - WE'RE NOT ALL TALL AND FAT HERE! GIVE US CLOTHES THAT FIT SLIM/PETITE/SHORTER PEOPLE!
We, the undersigned, call on clothes manufacturers and retailers to increase the availability of dress sizes 6, 8 and 10.
