NO to the Fairness Doctrine

No with both legislative branches as well as the executive branch in the hands of the Democrats, they are planning on assaulting the 1st Amendments guarantee of free speech by imposing the so called Fairness Doctrine. This would force radio and TV stations to provide for "equal time" between political ideologies.

This doctrine is NOT needed as the main stream media, the majority of the cable news networks, as well as predominant print services all share a common thread, a strong leaning toward liberal ideals. While a single cable news service has equal views expressed, and talk radio leans strongly towards conservative views.

National Public Radio, which is paid for by American tax dollars, as well as donations has a firm lean towards liberalism. Also, there is, or was, an network set up purely to counter the conservative radio broadcasts, it's name is Air America. Its' ratings are so low, and advertising dollars so scarce, that is cannot stay afloat. Advertisers know, and radio stations carry, what the American people want to hear in a free and open market.

Apparently if the left cannot compete, they feel the need to regulate. This is why, when there is so much more airing of the lefts views, they feel there needs to be a Fairness Doctrine.

Let the American people be heard and the Bill of Rights be maintained and sign this petition.
