Since 1919 after the Treaty of Trianon, there have been numerous laws passed by the newly formed Republic of Austria to guarantee control of their country. Among these laws were the so called Hapsburg Laws.
These laws secured Austrian power by banning the entire House of Hapsburg-Lorraine from Austria, they took all of their property, and they took the right of all Hapsburgs from becoming president or obtaining power in the government.
Over the years, the Republic of Austria has been forced to repeal many of these unjust laws by organizations such as the United Nations allowing the Hapsburgs to go to Austria in 1990, and Hapsburgs retain the right to hold office since June 2011 after investigation from the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The Hapsburgs were granted back their property in 1935 for a short time until the Nazis invaded Germany and annexed it into the Third Reich.
We the people of the world are inclined to believe that equality and fair treatment is being pursued everywhere in the world, but an obvious case of unjust treatment is being committed by a partner country of the United Nations.
The Hapsburg-Lorraine family has faced many hardships in the years following their removal from power including the banning of them from Austria. The Hapsburg family has relinquished all claims to the throne of Austria.
The Hapsburg Laws were to keep Hapsburgs from controlling Austria, and they are now not only irrelevant but it is keeping an entire family house from having the property they rightfully gained and bought but had taken away.
The Republic of Austria should return the property of the House of Hapsburg-Lorraine to ensure that the rights of an entire line are not destroyed because they were formerly afraid of the power a family once retained.
Laws are becoming irrelevant every day due to changing times. The Hapsburg Laws are among these outdated laws, and these laws should be revoked giving the Hapsburg-Lorraine family their rightful property.
