Should the incestual polygamist child sex trade of Salt Lake be decriminalized?

Polygamy is just like gay marriage and deserves the same considerations and rights.
It’s a girls decision to be courted as early as 12 and married by 16.
People can leave whenever they would like.

Polygamous groups and communities don’t affect the rest of society.

Things to consider:

Isolation and Brainwashing.
Living in the age of information it is hard to fathom that institutional brainwashing can exists, but the Order has long cultivated a culture to limit its members to outside exposure without the need of a compound. Common practices teach children from birth that they are not to associate with “outsiders”, even to the point that they are required to attend ‘order school’ taught by teenagers and work for ‘order businesses’. This is most apparent by the ‘memory gems’ and ‘ABC Order Standards’, meditation guided by the leader at 7 am, noon, and 7 pm, and prayers to God pledging their unwavering lifelong devotion to the order, they are required to recite daily at school. This isolation creates a bubble of a false reality which allows them to be groomed and manipulated. I assure you this manipulation is well thought out and highly strategized from the top leadership down.
This is particularly true for the girls who are being groomed to be presented with “options” as early as the age of twelve of suiters ranging from 20’s to 60’s in the name of God. Boy’s are groomed that living polygamy is what God expects from them.
They are taught to limit their exposure to all forms of media including television and the internet, and that if they put evil things into their bodies or minds they will become like outsiders. And that if any type of media makes them want to leave or question the one above them, it is of Satan.

Just because a girl starts her monthly does not mean she is ready to make life-altering adult decisions with an adolescent mind.
This occurs at monthly church dances that were originally hosted by the late Wendell Owen thus called ‘Wendell’s dances’ where men will take their wives and their children and unabashedly court other women who are coming of age regardless of the age difference or how many other wives they already have.
In addition to ‘Wendell’s’ dances, there are dances at every wedding, and at least 2-3 weddings a month.

Straps them down as quickly as possible with children and indoctrinates them that if they leave, not only will they go to hell but so will their children.
Simply due to the nature of the plural marriage practices the young female are much more cherished then the men due to supply and demand. The Order will do almost anything to keep their brainwashed indoctrinated females available for the institutionalized trafficking.
Hobbels them by taking away education opportunities.
Hobbles them by not teaching them how finances/money work on the outside.
Culturally it is a goal and competition for the women to have 14 or more children. It is culturally shameful not to have as many children as physically possible. Birth control is shameful and believed to be a product of Satan.
Lack of financial support
The exact living situation varies from family to family. Some women live in buildings owned by the order and they pay rent to the order and their husband doesn’t contribute with the rent at all. The majority of women are responsible for half of their ‘marital home’ mortgage and the expenses of their direct children and all other household expenses. This often results in below standard living conditions with children crammed into every corner of the house living off of rotten fruits and vegetables that are obtained through ‘dumpster hopping’, going to local food banks, or going to grocery stores to get old produce saying they are going to donate it. This varies from family to family.

Culture of Abuse
Probably one of the most shocking principles that is brainwashed into the culture is the “Law of one above another”. This is a REAL thing and no you did not just get time warped into the eighteen hundreds. This means that the one ‘over you’, your father or if you’re a woman, your husband, is ALWAYS correct and it is your job to support and do what they say no matter if they are wrong or doing something immoral.
It is taught in church that if the one over you tells you to do something you know is wrong or won’t work and you do it anyway, it either will work because you made God happy or you will get blessings in heaven for doing what you’re supposed to do.
It is culturally acceptable for men to keep their women in line with physical intimidation, emotional manipulation and abuse. If this is ever reported to leadership, the victim is often reminded it is their job to live “the law of one above another”. This systemic practice has been passed down from generation to generation.
Culture of ‘playing the victim’
When someone leaves the Order and speaks out against them it is taught that the ex-Order member is persecuting the Order and its members and they will go to perdition for it.
If a law is being put in place that restricts the Order or its practices in any way, it is taught that Satan is trying to destroy the members by making the legislators fight against them.
Corruption
These family structures are obviously unsustainable so to compensate they are taught in church how to scam the government. Falsely report their earnings to the IRS and take advantage of every social support system available.
Payoffs, political and strategic maneuvering keeps their organization just outside the reach of the law. By only legally marrying one spouse and then religiously marrying the subsequent spouses is how how the Order gets around the current polygamy laws. Legislation is currently being drafted to try and close this hole. Effective lobbying to ignorant lawmakers, who should probably read this, has also made it so that the polygamy law can only be brought as secondary charges on top of another crime.
The cost of leaving
To leave the order means more than just walking away. After finally having the opportunity to mature and have an adult brain to make wise life-long decisions, the women in particular are in a very difficult place to alter their life. Besides the indoctrination that they will assuredly go to hell taking their children with them, hobbled by limited education opportunities by being plucked from school at an early age and starting on their cultural goal of 14 or more children, they know they will not only be shunned by their friends, but BOTH sides of their family and friends, removing any and all support systems. There is no concept of unconditional love as they literally have to stand on the edge of the cliff and have enough courage to believe that they are going to hell and STILL step forward because hell has got to be better than what they know.
Due to the lack of resource and emotional support, those who leave often end up struggling with depressions and cope by self medicating with alcohol and drugs. Of course the leadership of the Order capitalizes on these ‘heretics’ using additional manipulation and brainwashing by making the struggles of these struggling individuals into ‘examples’ of what will happen if you leave the Order.
Men have a much easier time walking away then women do because they are ‘competition’ where women are in limited supply. They also don’t get married as young as often as the girls.
