Stop ReturnofKings

The content of the website ReturnofKings (RoK) as well as their associated Facebook page promotes hate speech which is in direct contradiction of Facebook’s “Hate Speech” policies. The group contains “content that attacks people based on their actual or perceived race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation”. It is homophobic, sexist and racist in content.

RoK’s core values include believing, promoting and advocating that:

“Women are sluts if they sleep around, but men are not. This fact is due to the biological differences between men and women.” This is degrading to women and reduces them to the status of less than a person.

“A woman’s value is mainly determined by her fertility and beauty. A man’s value is mainly determined by his resources, intellect, and character.” This is a hateful statement that is supposedly based on biology. It is misinformation and is bigoted in nature, and attacks the female gender as a whole.

The page includes articles such as:

"Why Patriarchy Is The Greatest Social System Ever Created";

"Women Belong At Home, Not At The Office"; and

““Your Son Is A Fucking Faggot”.

Such bigoted and ignorant hate speech leads to real world violence and intimidating behaviors and encourages people to adopt exclusionary and oppressive attitudes and practices.

We request that the page be removed from Facebook not only because Hate Speech provokes offense, but also because it attacks the dignity of various groups. Further, Hate Speech attempts to intimidate, marginalize and oppress particular minorities and groups, which leads these groups to question whether their dignity and social status is secure. Promotion of Hate Speech has a direct, real and tangible negative impact on groups and communities. Canada, England, France, Germany, The Netherlands, South Africa, Australia (and India) have all banned hate speech, and they remain some of the most democratic nations.

Furthermore, this page is a danger to those exposed to it and the values of Facebook as a whole."
