Stop the New Threat to Zanu PF victims Abroad

".....Concerned Zimbabweans Abroad are dismayed to learn that ZANU PF intends to set up structures in the UK and possibly elsewhere abroad. There is nothing wrong with ZANU PF setting up external structures per se because this is a political party that should ordinarily enjoy freedom of the right to set up structures whereever they wish.

However, ZANU PF is a party that for the last 30 years has thrived from suffocating other political opponents who do not support the party. Zimbabweans have been killed and died at the hands of ZANU PF supporters and militias because of supporting or belonging to other political parties other than ZANU PF. The party has persued ruthlessly supporters of the MDC opposition party most of whom have run away from home to various countries around the world.

ZANU PF has also set up bases in various parts of the country and has dimarcated no-go areas for MDC supporters. The latest is Tsholotsho where the rabid and notorious ZANU PF apologist Jonathan Moyo is MP and is overseeing the exercise. Zimbabweans who had fled to the UK and sought asylum have found a home and safe haven in the UK where they have enjoyed peace and freedom to exercise their politcal right. Allowing ZANU PF to set up shop in the UK and therefore closely monitor the activities of these people would be an affornt to their human rights.

As "Concerned Zimbabweans Abroad" we totally oppose the idea, even in its very formative stages because that is a very dangerous precedent. We are urging every Zimbabweans and friends and supporters of Zimbabwe to sign the below online petition to register their disapproval. The petition will be presented to the UK government as soon at least 200 signatures have been secured,
