Support Recognition of Aboriginals in the Australian Constitution

The current Australian government is considering amending the constitution to recognize indigenous Australians.
We believe that more is needed to heal the hurt of our past deeds and to finally make amends with the Aboriginal people.
We believe that not only should we acknowledge Aboriginals as the first people of this nation, but we should acknowledge the years of unjust crimes and human rights violations that were committed against aboriginals such as the Black Line invasion in Tasmania in 1830, the stolen generation and the current Northern Territory intervention.
We ask that all MP's push to immediately cease the Northern Territory Intervention and we ask the MP's not to just simply acknowledge the Aboriginals but to acknowledge the crimes committed against them over the years.
We also ask that the main section of the constitution be amended to remove section 51 (xxvi.) from the constitution to never again allow unfair and unjust laws to be created against the Aboriginal people.
"Australian Constitution - Section 51 - Legislative powers of the Parliament
The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws for the peace, order, and good government of the Commonwealth with respect to:-
(xxvi.) The people of any race, for whom it is deemed necessary to make special laws: "
We the Australia Republic Party and the enclosed signatory list ask that you immediately move to change the preamble in the constitution to not only recognize Aboriginals as the first people of this nation but to also recognize in the preamble the years of unjust crimes and human rights violations that were committed against Aboriginals such as the Black Line invasion in Tasmania (1830), the stolen generation and the current Northern Territory intervention.
We also demand that section 51 (xxvi.) be removed from the constitution immediately to never again allow unfair and unjust laws to be created against the Aboriginal people.
We also demand that the Northern Territory intervention be halted.
We expect that you will take this letter seriously and act on it as a matter of urgency.
