Preserve Free Speech

In 1786, J.Q. Adams and Thomas Jefferson demanded to know by what right the Barbary Pirates attcked our shipping. They were told that the right was "written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have answered their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as prisoners"

If any literate and competent person will read the Qur'an, particularly Surahs Al-Anfal (8) & At-Taubah (9) and the book of Jihad (52) in Sahih Bukhari they will obtain their first clue as to the accuracy of Jefferson's report. If they will read Reliance of the Traveller, Book O9.0 through O9.14, they will have a better foundation of basic knowledge than the majority of our elected and appointed leaders. If they will read Guillaume's "The Life of Muhammad", "The Sealed Nectar" or Ibin Sa'd's hadith, they will begin to rival the experts in knowledge.

Few will undertake that course of study. They will not become aquainted with the identity and character of the entity which attacked us in the 18th century, at Khobar Towers, the USS Cole. the World Trade Center and our Embassies unless someone more informed tells them.

Because Muslims can not refute the truth drawn from Islam's canon of scripture, tradition, exegesis, jurisprudence and biography, they rant, rave and riot, demanding international imposition of the blasphemy laws found in Reliance of the Traveller O8.1-7.

Our lives and liberties; the very existence of Western Civilization are dependent on preserving the right to sound a warning against clear, present and persistent danger. Demands for imposition of "religious defamation" and "blasphemy" laws, both national and international must be rejected and soundly defeated. Movies, books, speeches, tweets and blog posts exposing Islamic doctrine and practice must remain legal.

The undersigned citizens of the United States of America direct the House and Senate to reject all demands for "hate speech", "defamation of Islam" & "blasphemy laws", both national and international including the protocols to ICERD being prepared by the HRC's Ad Hoc Committee on Elaboration of Complementary Standards.

We solemnly swear that we will not cast our votes for any Representative, Senator or President who does not vocally reject and vote aganst the evisceration of the First Amendment.

Undersigned citizens of other nations are urging their legislatures to enact free speech protection emulating the First Amendment.
